I am Anand Rao, aka Adventure Karma on social media, an amateur Alpinist/Mountaineer based out of West Coast of United States.

I started my climbing journey in mid-2020 with a guided climb on Mt Baker and was immediately hooked. Since then I have climbed Glacier, Rock and Ice classic routes in Pacific North West, Montana, Moab, Sierras and Peru.

I am drawn to Alpinism for its adventure, the opportunity to be in serene places that few others get to see, and a sense of accomplishment that comes from overcoming challenges. I enjoy learning and applying new skills, problem solving, taking on and making high judgement decisions, and the planning and preparation that is required to ascend a complex and demanding routes. Instead of specializing in one discipline which seems to be the norm now, I like routes that require multiple skills and aspire to be an all-round alpinist.
